Nike Air Max 180 Doernbecher

The Air Max 180 Doernbecher, part of Nike’s 20th annual Doernbecher Freestyle Collection, was designed by Ja’Kai Taylor, a young patient at OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Inspired by his journey with Type 1 Diabetes and love for video games and soccer, the shoe features a bold ombré blue-green upper, black overlays with reflective lightning bolts, and custom details like “T1D” tongue branding, “Ja’Kai 30” on the heel, and removable soccer crests. A glow-in-the-dark outsole and bubble Swoosh add playful touches, while proceeds support the hospital’s mission to empower young patients through creativity.
